Dmitrij Golovanov Solo

Dmitrij Golovanov is one of Lithuania’s most prominent and active jazz pianists, distinguished by his intelligent and passionate style and his astonishing sense of time and space.

With a perfect knowledge of the language of jazz and a mature taste, Dmitrij has not only participated in many different projects, but also found his own unique sound thanks to his flexibility. His talent, skill, expressiveness and unique playing style have earned him the title of one of the most notable pianists on the Baltic jazz scene.

His list of achievements includes semi-finalist in the Montreux Solo Piano Competition, finalist in the European Jazz Competition, and winner of the Musical Union’s Golden Disk Award. Last year he was awarded the Grand Prix of the Brštonas Jazz Festival for his services to Lithuanian jazz, and in 2022 he was elected President of the Lithuanian Jazz Federation and is currently actively involved in social activities.
